The Book of the Skies has never been written in the sense that you can go out and buy a book at a store. It is the nightime stars themselves, a book which did not need "working out yer letters" to read. And, it is free to all who look at it. The groupings of the bright and faint stars themselves were noticed in antiquity and called constellations. The constellations were used by storytellers to remind themselves of various classic tales. These stories were passed down, essentially unchanged, from generation to generation. If your grandfather or grandmother told you these stories, use the very dark skies of An Fherim Sa Ghleann to show your young folk the book at its majestic best.

These days, we tend to want to have a paper book for reference. I've found "Star Tales" by Ivan Ridpath (Universe Books, New York, NY) to be one of the best new books on the stories of the stars.
