Astronomy for Naturalists

I think most people are naturalists at heart. On a clear night stars abound. The Milky Way, where Hera's milk is spread across the sky, is easily visible.

If you have never looked at the night time sky, read the Book of the Skies. There are a number of other naturalist books available in the study. We have 7x35 binoculars available for use in watching fauna which abounds. Raptors are abundant and so are the accompanying species.

Binoculars are particularly well suited to observing the skies during the day or night. While I prefer my 10x50s which I carry with me, the 7x35s are adequate to see the Orion Nebula, Lagoon Nebula and Andromeda Galaxy. Do not be surprised that the real objects do not look the same as they do in magazines.
