There are nearly two hundred acres to walk, hike, snowshoe, or cross country ski. Enjoy early mornings with the grass still wet with dew, a noon time picnic in the hemlock grove, or a late evening stroll to the top of the hill and watch the sun set.

For the birder and nature watcher there is much to see. Watch the barn swallows swoop, and listen to the redwing blackbird from the front porch. Look for humming birds, gold finches, blue birds (in season) and, while walking, listen for the wild turkeys. See the deer in the distance, and, if your timing is right, spot a family of red fox.

There are true wild animals on the farm. Deer wander through the meadows and turkey are around. In season, you can hear the "gobblers" talking in the woods above the house. Raptors soar on the winds, goldfinches abound and swallows slice through the air. An occasional fox can be seen making his or her rounds and woodchucks sun themselves near their dens.

We do not allow hunting except by a few select local game keepers needed to protect the health of the wild animals. You are encouraged to go hunting with a camera, and, if you are very good, you might bag a wildcat on film.
